mounting external photo libraries

📝 Detailed description

I created a bind mount to the host in the lxc conf file. I can navigate that mount in the container. I cannot get the immich app to mount the folder. I suspect it needs a mapping in the docker-compose.yml, which I added, but when I try to run docker commands to rerun with the changes, it doesn't recognize the commands.

There is no info on how to update and rerun the docker compose or any info on how to get immich to see the folders in the host LXC container. There needs to be an explicit set of instructions on how to map/bind external shares into the environment either post-install or pre-install. Some guidance would be helpful. For now, I am going to pitch the whole thing and rebuild it from scratch using a different youtube video that explicitly walks you through setting the whole thing to support external shares.

💡 Why is this useful?

You need to be able to easily bring existing photo libraries into immich with having to use the upload folder. Also, you need to be able to have the upload folder on a share rather than having to manage container space as libraries grow in size.

Look at disscussion #5075. Oir script dose not use Docker, it is a native install, so changes to dockerfiles or dockercommands will not work.
