Try enabling
Insert Introspection librariesin the app settings and see if it worked for youTested on 3.1.0 Nightly (1245), macOS Tahoe 26.0.1
@ghdic commented on GitHub (Oct 20, 2025):
@kyrie25 I tried setting it to the same environment as you, but it still crashes after a few minutes from m2 pro
@pan0001 commented on GitHub (Oct 20, 2025):
same im m2 macbook air
@pan0001 commented on GitHub (Oct 20, 2025):
gmae will not display anything after crash
@kyrie25 commented on GitHub (Oct 20, 2025):
@ghdic Did you try their latest nightly build? They might have fixed relevant issues
Tested again on 3.1.0 Nightly (1266), M1 Macbook Air, macOS Tahoe 26.0.1, no crashes after a few auto runs
@Brawl345 commented on GitHub (Oct 20, 2025):
Can confirm the Nightly above works for me without crashes on my M1 Max Macbook Pro. I didn't change any settings (not even Insert Introspection libraries), just install & go. On macOS Sonoma 14.7.7.
@deki-haibane commented on GitHub (Oct 20, 2025):
Keep crashing after startup on MacOS 26.1 DB4(M1MaxMBP 32GB model).
It happens whether I insert the Introspection library or not.
PlayCover is 3.1.0 (1266).
@pan0001 commented on GitHub (Oct 20, 2025):
withmean is Mac os problem?
@ghdic commented on GitHub (Oct 21, 2025):
@kyrie25
Yes, even with the nightly mode you provided, the crash still occurs.
Here's a video of the crush
To explain the phenomenon specifically, when I launch the game and enter the game,
the CPU and GPU core usage and temperature rise sharply.
Even if I leave it alone, it crashes and the app closes after a few seconds.
I think this is an anomaly, because it doesn't take up that much usage when playing Genshin Impact.
ERROR LOG
@ozozozzz commented on GitHub (Oct 21, 2025):
ive just updated my system from Sequoia 15.5 to 15.7.1 and it appears to be stable now. just wanted to add this incase anyone else forgot to even consider this like me haha
@knightroo commented on GitHub (Oct 21, 2025):
reposting a fix that worked for me from discord
was already on latest sequoia and it was still crashing until i applied the other settings mentioned.
@QKhanhGT6 commented on GitHub (Oct 22, 2025):
I also have this issue. Currently using Mac Pro M2. Already update my OS from Sequoia 15.6 to 15.7.1. Have already tried changing to public.app-catagory.games in Misc + Graphics to Ipad pro 13 inch m4 + enabling Insert Introspection libraries but no luck
@georgecolld-spec commented on GitHub (Oct 22, 2025):
I’ve finally managed to get Genshin Impact running again on macOS 15 (Tahoe / 26.0.1). This will work for any game ig.
The key was how you uninstall the app — you don’t need to manually delete folders.
Here’s exactly what worked for me:
1. Reboot your Mac before doing anything.
2. In PlayCover, right-click the game → Uninstall App.
3. In the uninstall dialog, I selected only these checkboxes:
• ✅ Remove Settings
• ✅ Remove Entitlements
• ✅ Remove PlayChain
• ⛔ Uncheck Remove Clear Data
• ⛔ Uncheck Remove KeyMapping
4. Confirm the uninstall.
→ This removes corrupted configs but keeps your game data and keymaps safe.
5. Re-add your Genshin .IPA to PlayCover.
6. (Optional) Reboot again — then launch the game.
💡 You don’t need to enable “Insert Introspection Libraries” or any other special flags.
Tested on:
• macOS 15.0 (26.0.1, Tahoe)
• PlayCover Nightly 1266
https://github.com/PlayCover/PlayCover/actions/runs/18507948186
• Genshin Impact (latest decrypted .IPA)
After doing this, the game starts perfectly

MacOs MacBook Pro M3 here, 18GB ram @ Sequoia 15.7.2 using nightly version of PlayCover, tried everything game runs the start of the tutorial than crashes and closes. Don't know what to do anymore :(
@Shibidi-shibidi commented on GitHub (Nov 16, 2025):
any updates on this?
@Kienguy commented on GitHub (Dec 2, 2025):
I've been looking through my crash reports to see if anything new pops up on nightly 1317, but nothing yet. I have a UnityGfxDeviceWorker just like ghdic above when using just "Force Introspection Libraries." When turning on "Force Insert iOS Frameworks" the thread that causes the crash changes, but I haven't seen anything repeat, so it's possible that that option is making things worse.
The most interesting thing I found is that turning on "Limit Motion Sensor Update Frequency" appears to reduce the CPU usage of the app.
@Shibidi-shibidi commented on GitHub (Dec 5, 2025):
alright tell me if you find anything else i guess
@knightroo commented on GitHub (Feb 5, 2026):
game is now playable by enabling "Prevent usleep call spamming" bypass (nightly 1378) to deal with the constant crash after 1 minute.
