Describe the bug

"Uninstall App" from an app's context menu in the App Library does not remove the associated App Data folder, even when all the options are ticked (Clear data, Remove keymap, Remove settings, Remove entitlements, Remove PlayChain) in the following "Are you sure?" modal.

This is on PlayCover 3.1.0 running on Sequoia 15.2.

Steps to reproduce

I used Honkai Star Rail for this. "Open App Data" in the app's context menu points to ~/Library/Containers/com.HoYoverse.hkrpgoversea. Incidentally, the name of the folder displayed in Finder is "Honkai: Star Rail", which does not match the location in Terminal or "Name & Extension" in Finder's "Get Info" section.

  1. Install an IPA.
  2. Run the app.
  3. Close the app.
  4. Right-click on the app in PlayCover to bring up the context menu. Choose "Uninstall App."
  5. Make sure all the options are ticked.
  6. Uninstall the app.
  7. Check to see if the folder for the container still exists in ~/Library/Containers.

Expected behaviour

At the very least, if "Clear Data" is ticked before uninstalling an app it should also remove the folder in ~/Library/Containers. I'm not sure if the PlayCover settings are stored in the container or in the app bundle in ~/Library/Containers/io.playcover.PlayCover/Applications, and if a combination of all those options in "Uninstall App" makes this more complicated than it seems.

What version of PlayCover are you using?

3.1.0

What version of macOS are you using?

Sequoia 15.2 (FYI, this was not in the dropdown)

That did the trick, thanks.

Going to close this out. Is it worth opening up a new feature request (or PR) to update the documentation?
