Heyy thanks for the great work on LiveContainer, it makes my life soooo much easier without jailbreaking :')

I’d like to suggest an optional "virtual home" mode. Instead of directly launching apps, entering LiveContainer could show a fake home screen (like a launcher) with all container apps as icons. It would feel like a mini phone inside your phone.
There could be a floating home button, similar to AssistiveTouch but using the LiveContainer icon. It would stay on top inside container apps, tap to return to the virtual home, and maybe long press (or double press) to open a container only recents screen.
LiveContainer settings and SideStore could also have their own separate icons inside this virtual home screen, just like normal apps within the container.
Additionally, it could be interesting to have optional features like:

  • spoofing device model and ios version inside the container
  • disabling the extended iPhone X-style safe area and forcing a 16:9 layout
  • using the bottom black area (home indicator area) to show a persistent home button (this layout would likely only make sense on non-se devices)
  • also i dont fully know the architecture but a rootless sileo app in it?

Here are some concept screenshots (not really needed but still was fun hehe):

Just wanted to share the idea and hear your thoughts

Too much work is required to implement this. PRs are welcome
