So i'm diagnosing my server right now.
2 addons make my server (and the LGSM script) full of shit.
The RustIO dll addon file isn't working for me. ( http://oxidemod.org/threads/rust-io.6385/page-127#post-180368 )
Zlevels don't work either. ( http://oxidemod.org/threads/zlevels-remastered.12803/page-23#post-180392 )
If i put them, i have to manually close the rust process before LGSM can work again. Because then, a stop will close the tmux session, but not the process... Weird. netstat -atunp | grep Rust show me the ports still listening.
Got many other addons to work perfectly though. Just saving some time to other people, and asking for a way to prevent that crap from happening.
If anybody has a clue, it's welcome.
Otherwise, i'll have a look at how the stop function closes the tmux function. https://github.com/dgibbs64/linuxgsm/blob/master/functions/command_stop.sh#L115
@UltimateByte commented on GitHub (Feb 26, 2016):
The PID doesn't change when the problem occurs. So one solution could be to get the PID and check if it's still there after a stop, when the tmux session is closed, or when monitoring : If tmux is off, check the PID. Not sure how to do that yet.
However, this would be treating symptoms, when i'd prefer treating causes.
@UltimateByte commented on GitHub (Feb 28, 2016):
K, got trouble to run multiple servers now... Either it's different users or not.
Fahk this.
@UltimateByte commented on GitHub (Feb 28, 2016):
At least i've got more for the issue with RustIO, it would be an Oxide SQLite3 version issue.
http://oxidemod.org/threads/rust-io.6385/page-130#post-182149
But i still don't know why closing the tmux session won't close the game server in that specific case.
@UltimateByte commented on GitHub (Feb 28, 2016):
Got the intuition that multiple servers not working, and the Rust server getting out from the tmux session are related. I wish i had a fresh point of view to give some ideas about that... Probably something facepunch has to fix btw... But they won't even try to fix it unless we give them the fix.
@UltimateByte commented on GitHub (Mar 15, 2016):
Solved with an update from Oxide. :)
Multiple servers is solved too, see http://oxidemod.org/threads/setting-up-a-rust-server-with-linux-and-lgsm.16528/
