User story
Palworld Server Update Check Bug
Game
Palworld
Linux distro
Ubuntu 22.04
Command
command: update
Further information
I could not choose the option where its says its about the command :
./pwserver Check-Update
Validate command works
force-update command works too
I suspect its not finding the info to lookup the remote build or miss referencing it somehow.
Server can still run fine, but the check-update is nice for me I have a script to alert me when an update is available.
It ends as this : [ FAIL ] Check for Update pwserver: Checking remote build
I have already tried updating LGSM, including deleting the temp folders of steamcmd even going so far as deleting the whold steamcmd and letting the update lgsm command reinstall steamcmd.
I have also tried looking up logs and see nothing alarming.
Can you please let me know what logs u want me to post that would be relevant to troubleshoot this.
Relevant log output
Steps to reproduce
./pwserver check-update
-> output is -> [ FAIL ] Check for Update pwserver: Checking remote build
@FlaminSarge commented on GitHub (Dec 18, 2024):
re: steamcmd bug, seems like there's already a thread at https://github.com/GameServerManagers/LinuxGSM/issues/4713
@CaspyBXL commented on GitHub (Dec 23, 2024):
Thank you it got fixed itself indeed, today its working back fine.
@FlaminSarge commented on GitHub (Dec 23, 2024):
It was fixed by a workaround in
github.com/GameServerManagers/LinuxGSM@d8d833ac49but the core issue with steamcmd is still a problem so you may still run into the bug occasionally.
