User story

As a player, I'd like to help with new ideas

Game

7 Days to Die

Linux distro

Debian 11

Command

command: backup

Further information

The idea would be that it would be possible to choose a delay time for the backup to start by sending some message in the game chat informing about the backup process

Sadly LinuxGSM has no way of interacting with game servers in that way. Each game server works very differently in this regard. for example, some have Rcon and some don't. some allow control from the console and others don't. Because of this it is extremely complicated to add and maintain support. Ideally there woudl be a more universal way to do this but sadly there isnt. There is a Pull request currently looking ant pre and post hooks. This would allow third part scripts to run before of after a linuxgsm command runs. This might be a way to allow people to do this
