Colleagues, welcome,
I recently moved from Windows to Linux platform and installed LGSM, in general I got used to it, but the only thing that bothers me now is LGSM /log/console/, server side logs folder. I always have 9 servers running. Logs weighs 2 gigabytes for two weeks (from Rocket (from Unturned)), but the console logs from LGSM weigh 10GB for half a day. I understand they collect all information, including the ./untserver update command, which is prescribed in the crontab every 5 minutes. In the end I had to disable the logs from LGSM altogether, although this is not a good practice.

Stated in configs (in common.cfg), to be stored for a day, but they weigh up to 20GB practically and take up all free space, and I have 40GB drive, so even days of logs - it's too cool. As a result, I want to know your opinion, is this even normal or not.

In advance, thank you.

Tech. Details:

  • Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
  • LGSM 22.1.0
  • Unturned 3.22.11.3

When you execute sudo lsof -nP | grep '(deleted)' command, a bunch of log files associated with the servers, which are just weighing a lot of space. How can I remove them without shutting down the server? I think this will solve the memory problem.

The problem was a plugin that caused an error every second on one of the servers, which is why the free memory ran out so quickly.
