Top work on the script, I'm assuming it's still being tested but just wanted to point this out:
Creating server.cfg
touch: cannot touch `/home/nmrih2/nmrih_ds/tf/cfg/server.cfg': No such file or directory
./nmrih-server: line 563: /home/nmrih2/nmrih_ds/tf/cfg/server.cfg: No such file or directory
The "tf" sub-directory appears to be superfluous.
@dgibbs64 commented on GitHub (Nov 20, 2013):
Yeah this is a new release. Might have a couple of bugs still. Thanks for spotting this I have now fixed the bug.
@jargon-au commented on GitHub (Nov 24, 2013):
I have also learned a few things from installing this that you may wish to add to the page when it's finished.
At this stage since it requires glibc2.15, most distros are ruled out and the preferred one is Ubuntu 12.04, since the rest, like CentOS or other RHEL distros, won't update glibc for a number of years (or at all).
You can get it to run still however without manually updating glibc for the entire system. Since it looks in the srcds bin folder first, you can add the files from a glibc 2.15 package (like this one for example: http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/libc6-udeb) into the srcds bin folder and it will work fine. Hacky, but it may be better than reinstalling an OS for a lot of people.
@dgibbs64 commented on GitHub (Nov 24, 2013):
Yeah, the same issue applies to Natural Selection 2 as well. So CentOS and RHEL are out. I will look have to look at seeing if I can implement the hacky way in to the scripts. As I run CentOS and this glibc issue is a right pain. I'm away for a week from day so I will take a proper look then :). Thanks for the info
@dgibbs64 commented on GitHub (Dec 8, 2013):
I have now added CentOS support for both nmrihserver and ns2server. the script downloads extra lib files to get it to work correctly
