Fortress Forever will be releasing on Steam very soon (currently on Steam in beta form). If you could add support for it after release that would be great. It is on SDK Base 2006 however just like NeoTokyo, so it may not have proper Linux server support. We shall see when it releases completely.
@dgibbs64 commented on GitHub (Dec 5, 2014):
That should be easy. Please monitor this and send me the server appid as soon as its available and I can create it. Source games are quite simple for me to do :-)
@Xylemon commented on GitHub (Dec 9, 2014):
Talked to one of the developers today, it may or may not happen sadly. They're looking into how it can be done with SDK Base 2006 and Steampipe.
@dgibbs64 commented on GitHub (Dec 9, 2014):
Linux may not be possible unless Valve have fixed the Linux source SDK Base 2006 files not being on SteamCMD. This is why Hidden:Source is broken. Either Valve have to fix Source 2006 SDK or the devs need to update to the newer sdk
@dgibbs64 commented on GitHub (Apr 15, 2015):
Taken another look at this since FF has moved to Steampipe. There are no Linux Binarys for this server on SteamCMD. Will have to wait until they decide to re-create them on SteamCMD
@Xylemon commented on GitHub (Apr 16, 2015):
I talked to one of the FF devs not too long ago. They tried hacking around with the SDK 2006 Linux Binaries to work with the new Steampipe system and they couldn't get them to work. It's very unlikely we'll get a Linux server unless they switch over to SDK 2013 (which they really need to stop squeezing every bit of life out of SDK Base 2006).
@dgibbs64 commented on GitHub (Apr 16, 2015):
SDK Base 2006 is why Hidden: Source doesn't work well anymore :(. I wish someone would continue development with that mod
@Xylemon commented on GitHub (Apr 16, 2015):
Yeah, it's a damn shame.
