User Story

Project Zomboid is not working anymore on CentOS 7 (Glibc version issue), I moved to Debian 10.

As CentOS 8 released few days ago, I installed a new server from scratch with minimal configuration as usual.

Then I proceeded Project Zomboid LGSM installation.

Basic info

  • Distro: CentOS 8
  • Game: Project Zomboid
  • Command: ./pzserver install

Further Information

It's not really a bug but simply a dependencies check that should be added in the list : tar
This will install it before running any installation command.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

  1. Launch Project Zomboid server installation command "./pzserver install"

Error I get:

Installing SteamCMD
extracting steamcmd_linux.tar.gz.../home/pzserver/lgsm/functions/core_dl.sh: line 78: tar: command not found
FAIL

Expected behaviour

Installation should proceed as normal by automatically installing missing dependencies "tar"
