Since yesterday, the developers of ATLAS made it possible to host ATLAS servers on Linux. Is this game going to be added anytime soon?

I have sent a pull request with some of the changes to add Atlas and the default config, It will still need to be tweaked by people smarter then me

I have no idea how i would add the redis requirements and if we can get around the need for the Sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xapienz/curl34 workaround

Since sept 2019, Atlas is not working on Linux anymore. The server starts, but on connect it times out.

So looks like this might be working again now. Happy to accept new PR's for Altas as long as the server is now working.

@Mixtery The quickest method is to develop it yourself (depending on your experience) and release a Pull request so I can merge it in to the code base. If you have no experience in using GitHub I recommend doing a little research etc and feel free to pop on to the Discord chat as there should be a few people willing to assist.

Unfortunately, atlasserver on linux is still a total mess and probably not worth implementing into linuxgsm as of right now. I will keep this open, maybe this can be reconsidered in the future.

Atlasserver does work very different to ark. On the one hand you need to run a redis database (additionally to the normal game server) but that isn‘t the real problem. The issue with atlasserver is that it uses many (outdated and partly security relevant) dependencies that are not officially being supported by most up2date os. Even if you manage to install all those dependencies, the server runs very unstable (if it runs at all). I wasn’t able to get it working on ubuntu 20.04..

Wine of course is an option (windows binaries run much better) but we generally do not support wine.
