Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I followed the instructions for the csgoserver perfectly and I came across this error. I am unable to resolve it. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it - thanks!

@dgibbs64 commented on GitHub (Oct 2, 2014):
First guess is a firewall issue. Can you connect to the server?
@Cal-Of-Duty commented on GitHub (Oct 2, 2014):
No, I can't connect to the server.
I presumed it would be a firewall issue too, but I'm not sure how I would go about locating it as I am an Admin of my dedicated server and do not own it. Iptables is not installed.
@Scarsz commented on GitHub (Oct 2, 2014):
Distro & version would help resolve this. :)

Start the server and use
to check if the port is listening or not.
@Cal-Of-Duty commented on GitHub (Oct 2, 2014):
csgoserver@ns3365250:~$ netstat -ntulp
(Not all processes could be identified, non-owned process info
will not be shown, you would have to be root to see it all.)
Active Internet connections (only servers)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State PID/Program name
netstat: no support for `AF INET (tcp)' on this system.
When doing ./csgoserver start, it says that the server is indeed running.
@Scarsz commented on GitHub (Oct 2, 2014):
You need to run the command as root for all the information to be displayed as far as I'm aware.
@Cal-Of-Duty commented on GitHub (Oct 4, 2014):
Ah, sorry about the delay by the way, I didn't get an email notification for the last comment.
Anyhow, here's what it displays when ran as root (the server is running):

This could be a a dependency problem as the server does not seem to be running at all. Start the server with the script and check if it's listed in htop
@Cal-Of-Duty commented on GitHub (Oct 4, 2014):
Started the server, server isn't listed in htop.
@phillf commented on GitHub (Oct 4, 2014):
I am having the same problem with my TF2 servers. I'll drop OS and netstat info in a little bit. Not at my desk.
@Scarsz commented on GitHub (Oct 4, 2014):
Does this successfully start the server or does it give an error?

When starting. :(
@Scarsz commented on GitHub (Oct 4, 2014):
Well, I've got nothing. All I know is that it's a problem with the machine (seg fault) and that the script itself is functioning as it should.
@Cal-Of-Duty commented on GitHub (Oct 4, 2014):
Alright, well thank you for your help. I'll try and contact the owner of the server and see if he can help out. Thank you greatly.
@Scarsz commented on GitHub (Oct 4, 2014):
Well, I have one last test. Run this; if the server works, it's probably something with the script. If it doesn't, the machine.
