Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/GameServerManagers/LinuxGSM/issues/1914

Running L4D2 server directly from command line works fine, but when starting the same process through LinuxGSM it gives the following issues.

Cbuf_AddText: buffer overflow
Cbuf_AddText: buffer overflow

This pretty much stops the auto-execution of all the plugin configs.

You only have 1GB RAM that might not be enough for the server

👍 @dgibbs64
I don't see how this is LinuxGSM related, you should use appropriate support platforms: https://linuxgsm.com/support

Let me begin by saying 1GB RAM is more than enough to run a single L4D2 server. In fact I've ran 2 L4D2 servers on the same machine with only having issues at crescendo events on both servers at same time. RAM is not the issue by any means.

Also, if it doesn't make any sense that if I run the server from command line that it finds sufficient RAM, as opposed to through Linux GSM.

I would request this issue to be reopened and if LinuxGSM team can look into this?

Mem: total used free cached
Physical: 992M 392M 68M 10M

Looks like the numbers don't add up for some reason.

Cbuf_AddText: buffer overflow

Having a google of this issue I found this. I'm not sure if it's helpful.

I'm not really sure why it's having issues with LinuxGSM. Is the issue only with start or do you have the issue with debug mode? If its only with start might be related to Tmux

Here is the full output.

total used free shared buff/cache available

Mem: 992 184 399 10 409 618
Swap: 0 0 0

Can't seem to figure the right code to use for it to come properly.

Never mind! It came out to be a plugin issue at the end.

I appreciate the help that was provided. Sorry for taking your time.

I was under the impression that bash might be putting limit on file creation or read permissions.

This can happen, but at system level, not bash related ^^
