I don't see a mention in the readme, as well as a button or similar on the page that allows me to whitelist selected accounts instead of unfollowing them. Is this feature working at the moment? If so, how do I use it?

You have to click on the picture

Allright, I would mention that on the Readme as intuitively I would think it will open the profile page of the account you clicked on
