So, the script was running perfectly until yesterday 06/10/2021. Since then I keep getting the error " No username, so the script won't read/write from the database" as soon as I run the script. I definitely have the latest version.

I have exactly the same issue. How to fix it?
@jacekmichalski commented on GitHub (Oct 12, 2021):
Remove instagram app and download this:
https://instagram.en.uptodown.com/android/download/3778076
It fixed my issue
@stateclata commented on GitHub (Oct 12, 2021):
Are you seriously asking me to install an app from an unverified sketchy source? Go phish somewhere else dude.
@jacekmichalski commented on GitHub (Oct 12, 2021):
Yep, really. Or you can learn to read your logs and figure this by yourself.
IG version (208.0.0.32.135) is newer than latest supported (195.0.0.31.123).
Please uninstall IG and download recommended apk from here:

Btw, I was expecting thank you rather than accusations...
@stateclata commented on GitHub (Oct 12, 2021):
yo, my bad. Anyway I got another bot working, thanks thought!
@alexal1 commented on GitHub (Oct 16, 2021):
We support only 195.0.0.31.123 IG version, that's absolutely right. Strange that it crashes on your emulator, I can dig into this if you write me and provide some details t.me/alexal1
@alexal1 commented on GitHub (Oct 16, 2021):
Btw just checked that 195.0.0.31.123 works fine on Android Studio emulator. I have only this one
@ranahaani commented on GitHub (Oct 18, 2021):
Not working with the latest version, works fine with 195.0.0.31.123
