I see you have no LICENSE file for this project. The default is copyright.

I would suggest releasing the code under the GPL-3.0-or-later or AGPL-3.0-or-later license so that others are encouraged to contribute changes back to your project.

I concur. Having a license will bring more contributions to the project. I'm not sure whether playlists qualify as code, so I suggest the project is licensed as CC0.

The repository already has ~1200 forks. When project becomes popular, it may have forks with changes, and then things will get even more complicated: a project with multiple authors and no license agreement…
