Dumb question, for sure already asked: Does this container replace XNU with Linux? Or does it simulate XNU? Because I understood that in any case it needs a Linux kernel to run, but I don't know what is does with it

In any case, does it use a known work to work with another kernel or to simulate it? I'm not from the domain so I'm no expert, I try to understand
