Installing MacOS on my ryzen 7 5700g got an error “This operation could not be completed .pkdownloaderror 8”
I can also see an error “OSIDownloadOperation Ial update found”. Is there any fix for that.
@jaekim24 commented on GitHub (Dec 30, 2022):
Im having the same issue
@SomeoneAlt-86 commented on GitHub (Dec 30, 2022):
Use the pre installed image, no issues with that.

I have the same issue.
PKDownloadError error 8
I use ubuntu 20.04LTS to run docker and build Ventura.
When erasing ~200GB disk, I chose format Journald, was this matter?
@SomeoneAlt-86 commented on GitHub (Feb 9, 2023):
@YtachY Looks more like a network issue to me as it’s solved using pre installed image
@charlvin commented on GitHub (Dec 29, 2024):
how did you do that? I am using MacBook Pro M1 2020 and having the same problem.
@SomeoneAlt-86 commented on GitHub (Dec 29, 2024):
Using disk utility you can choose your format either Journald, APFS
@Rifdhan commented on GitHub (Feb 16, 2026):
I ended up resolving this by completely removing my PiHole AdGuard setup from my home network. Even though I had tried configuring it to allow all requests from my server, I guess it was somehow still failing to handle some requests. Posting in case it helps anyone else.
@YtachY commented on GitHub (Feb 21, 2026):
Sorry dude, I have no idea about M series arch.
Btw, I have been facing the issue, not the solution. I skipped it.
