I often want to find something from the past and dont want to search through to find it.

I would like a search feature that filters the history, and only shows the options that match the text.

See #88 - apparently the feature is coming... I previously used a version of ClipMenu that had a "History Window" where you could search through your history.

Recently I've switched to using Paste and I find it really nice to use, including an instant search - just hit the shortcut and start typing and it will filter the options accordingly. It's not a free app but well worth the price in my opinion.

@ZAYEC77 - I am grateful for the time you have put in on this feature. I have some feedback on the usability. As a user that predominately uses the keyboard, there seems to be a lot of additional mouse / interactivity necessary to get to Search and then use it.

The easiest implementation of search within a clipboard manager I have used has been Alfred 2 (v3 may be similar, but I haven't upgraded). The keyboard shortcut initiates the view and you can either use the arrow keys to go up/down in the history list OR start typing into the search area and it does live filtering with each keystroke. Here's a video of how frictionless Alfred 2 is: https://youtu.be/WY6qf8abqmw For those who still want to use their mouse exclusively, this UI supports it as well.

Hey, nice to hear it)
I guess you could use my fork: https://github.com/ZAYEC77/Clipy
but maybe you could check Alfred as @jasonferrier suggested

@ZAYEC77 do you have a build we can use or do we have to compile it ourselves?

Has anyone with coding skills, able to develop this feature, considered a pull request to this project to make it complete?
There are a bunch of forks with not enoguh traction or user base to become the new standard, and yet nobody seem to have contributed to this one.

I've switched to https://github.com/p0deje/Maccy which works flawlessly, has a search feature and is actively maintained.
