Problem Statement
It's great to see the new custom app feature, I wasn't sure if it is supposed to be a replacement for setting up apps in Intune but if it is, will it have feature parity? I read the docs but they just explain the fields. Some examples:
Scripts are often used for detection e.g. to check the version of a file rather than the presence of the file. Is there a way to add script detection?
Sometimes we need to assign an app as available to a group of users so they can self-install from the Company Portal if needed. Is it possible to add this option too?
Will prerequisites/supersedence be added?
Minor nice to haves like the ability to upload the logo so if using Company Portal, it's a nicer end-user experience. Adding the version of the program, it could be added to the description but when browsing the Apps list in Intune portal it's nice to see the version (as I typed this I realised maybe this feature isn't adding apps to the Intune portal).
Benefits for MSPs
Could allow MSPs to move their app deployments entirely to CIPP and use templates to assign an app to multiple tenants. Setting up App Deployments is one of the most laborious parts of onboarding a new client to Intune.
Value or Importance
In order to use CIPP in place of Intune for app deployments this is quite important.

Amazing, app deployment cross-tenant is going to be a gamechanger! Thanks for your hard work on this.
