Problem Statement
When you search for a standard to disable POP3 and IMAP, there isn't one. When I asked about that, it was mentioned that it was covered by the 'disable basic authentication' standard. I asked that the description of that standard be updated to indicate this was the case, and that a search of IMAP or POP3, instead returned disable basic Auth standard with something in the description to indicate this standard covered that outcome.
It was mentioned in the discord it had been done and would be in the next release, but it's been a few releases, and still, a search for pop3 or imap returns not result.
Benefits for MSPs
Improves Clarity to those who don't know this is the way this is handled in CIPP
Value or Importance
I think it's quite important. Not all techs know that disabling Basic Auth will disable POP3/Imap
