  • I have searched existing feature requests (open and closed) and found no duplicates.
  • **me or my organization is currently an active sponsor of the product at the $99,- level.

Problem Statement

During the office hours earlier this week (Wednesday), I asked John whether the new tenant groups would be available for use in the tenant selector. He mentioned this was not currently possible, but that it may be implemented in the near future and encouraged me to submit a feature request—so here we are.

At the moment it is not possible to view BPA reports or any of the other integrated CIPP reports (except for the new awesome standard report) for a specific group of tenants. This is inconvenient, as we need to filter reports for our managed tenants with a service contract, which requires manually selecting the relevant tenants each time.

If the new tenant groups were available in the tenant selector or maybe on the report pages itself, it would allow us to create custom BPA reports specifically for our service contract tenants, without having to view data for tenants that are not in scope. Reports such as the BPA report, als the integrated MFA report could then be scoped to only include the relevant group of tenants. This would improve clarity and efficiency in our workflows.

Benefits for MSPs

This change would make it easier to manage reporting for specific tenant groups, such as those with service contracts. It would allow for more focused reporting and reduce the noise from irrelevant tenants. Overall, it would save engineers time and effort when generating and reviewing reports.

Value or Importance

While this may seem like a quality-of-life improvement, the ability to use tenant groups in the tenant selector would significantly streamline reporting processes for MSPs. It would enhance usability and make integrated reporting features much more powerful.

tenants groups are going to be added to places over time, doesn't need a feature request :)
