Problem Statement
I found that there is more interest in the grouping of tenants looking at previous FR, more for standards, so I will post this request anyway, maybe this can be combined of some sorts.
As an MSP, we manage customers with proactive maintenance contracts and others without. For customers with maintenance contracts, we perform more frequent checks and require the ability to filter and report specifically on these tenants.
For instance, when generating a BPA (Best Practice Assessment) report, we would like the option to view the report filtered only for tenants with maintenance contracts by selecting a predefined tenant group. Currently, each alert must also be configured individually by manually adding the relevant tenants, which is time-consuming and inefficient. This challenge applies both to reporting and to alert configurations, which would both benefit from the ability to select predefined tenant groups.
One possible solution could be the creation of a 'Tenant Group' feature. This group could be configured by selecting tenants with maintenance contracts and might then appear as an option in the tenant selector, similar to the existing "All Tenants" option. Ideally, this group could also be available for:
This centralization would simplify management and ensure consistent filtering across all reporting and alert functions.
Benefits for MSPs
- Time Efficiency: New customers with maintenance contracts can be added to the group in one place, avoiding the need to update every individual alert manually.
- Simplified Reporting: Technicians can quickly generate reports focused on relevant customers without manually filtering for contract status.
- Consistency: Ensures that alerts and reports are consistently applied across the correct tenants.

Value or Importance
We believe this feature would benefit many MSPs who manage clients with varying service levels. It would streamline operations, reduce manual tasks, and minimize the risk of oversight.

Already part of future roadmap, don't need an FR for it :)
