Current behavior
PDF export uses the colors of the UI instead of white. For instance, with the Dark UI theme, the PDF is produced with a black background and light text.
Non-Light UI theme is not meant to be used to export documents. Perhaps there should be an option to decorrelate UI theme and PDF output theme (picking a theme for PDF output may be useful, but light/white should probably be default).
Expected behavior
A light/white themed PDF output.

Tips
@Komediruzecki commented on GitHub (Apr 20, 2021):
Hi, ColinMaudry,
This was actually a feature, it looked better when there were no margins.
The next improvements are to add PDF export options dialog, where user can choose desired margin, paper type and option to include background colours from boost note selected theme or not.
Of course, you can still export in white if you select the theme as such (which is cumbersome to do for every PDF export).
Will look to provide such improvements in the near future.

Thanks! Out of topic: is there somewhere I can read about the abandon of Legacy Boostnote? I read a lot about the new Boost Note on the medium accounts, but I didn't why the old Boostnote was abandoned instead of being improved (with cloud, etc.).
@Komediruzecki commented on GitHub (Apr 20, 2021):
Because legacy boost note is not abandoned, but not sure about improvements. I think Development/support will be stopped once the boost note next covers all aspects of the legacy boostnote.
There is a difference between boost note next, and boost note for teams (previously boost hub), but it is all integrated into one App from recently.
@Komediruzecki commented on GitHub (Aug 22, 2021):
Hi all,
the boost note local space now offers export options in preferences where you can choose whether to include theme background or not, I'll leave this issue may be for cloud spaces, but please reopen if any improvement is needed for local space, here: https://github.com/BoostIO/BoostNote.next-local.
