Originally created by @danieltichiyama on GitHub (Sep 18, 2020).
Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/BoostIO/BoostNote-App/issues/627
Current behavior
I cannot find where in the current MacOS app to import my notes from the old Boostnote
Expected behavior
To have this option or some other form of this functionality in the preferences pane.
Steps to reproduce
Environment
Desktop/Web
@shirakiya commented on GitHub (Sep 25, 2020):
I recently started using the new Boost Note 0.9 ver. switching from legacy Boostnote because the new Boost Note was added to Homebrew Cask. ref. https://github.com/BoostIO/BoostNote.next/issues/482
But I have the same trouble.
It can be seen that the import tab had been deleted after version 0.9. https://github.com/BoostIO/BoostNote.next/pull/595
I just started using the new Boost Note 0.9 ver. via Homebrew Cask, so I hope you to revert deleting the import tab. Otherwise I can't use this anymore...(That is really sad.)
@ghost commented on GitHub (Sep 27, 2020):
The function was moved. You can find it in each storage's settings page, note that you need a file system storage type in order to import from legacy.
@shirakiya commented on GitHub (Sep 28, 2020):
Can we copy notes from a file system storage to other cloud system storage?
@Flexo013 commented on GitHub (Sep 28, 2020):
@danieltichiyama The import feature can be found within the settings menu of the storage you want the notes to be imported to.
@shirakiya You can move notes from one storage to another by dragging them from one folder to another.
@shirakiya commented on GitHub (Sep 29, 2020):
Thanks for your advice. But I can't do that. Using Mac OS Catalina 10.15.6.
Do you have an another cool method to copy notes?
@Flexo013 commented on GitHub (Sep 29, 2020):
I don't think we do.
@shirakiya Could you create a new issue with maybe a gif showing that the behavior doesn't work? (Do you get a pop up after dragging the note?)
@danieltichiyama commented on GitHub (Sep 29, 2020):
I'm also having the same issue of not being able to drag and notes from one storage folder to another.
@Flexo013 commented on GitHub (Sep 29, 2020):
@danieltichiyama Please create an issue with all info that you have 😃
@danieltichiyama commented on GitHub (Sep 29, 2020):
well, now I'm having a different issue, "Loading Data..." is the only thing that shows, I saw another issue so I'm going to piggy back on that for now.
