Current behavior

I am unable to launch Boostnote from Unity launcher. Starting Boostnote from the terminal with the usual command boostnote launches Boost Note, instead.

Expected behavior

Launching Boostnote and launching Boost Note.

Steps to reproduce

  1. install Boostnote
  2. install Boost Note Desktop version
  3. unable to launch Boostnote from the launcher or terminal

Environment

  • Version : 0.1.4
  • OS Version and name : 19.10 Ubuntu

@arcturus140 commented on GitHub (Jan 29, 2020):

ubuntu's software install had been used for both software.

which boostnote gives me /usr/bin/boostnote for /usr/bin/boostnote -> '/opt/Boost Note/boostnote'

hm, it makes sense to keep the name as this is what people are looking for. So I'll change it the following way:

/usr/bin/boostnote -> '/opt/Boost Note/boostnote'

/usr/local/bin/boostnote -> 'old boostnote install location'

@arcturus140 This should be fixed by now. Please try v0.2.1. https://github.com/BoostIO/BoostNote.next/releases/tag/v0.2.1
