The bot can be added to an org and told to monitor/ignore some channels for URLs in messages.

Whenever a URL is found in any message, it should reply to that message in a thread with a link to the archived version in ArchiveBox.

This way, Slack can be used as a method to feed URLs into archivebox.

Other integrations to consider:

Signal / Telegram / WhatsApp bot (maybe via Beeper?)
Google Sheets / Airtable
Zapier / IFTT
N8N / NodeRED
