I have had to downgrade to 2.41 due to crashes.
I have a OnePlus 11 5G running Android 15.
I do not have much else to add. I checked permissions and cleared cache, but that has not helped.

Hello,
thank you for reporting this. This is not great to hear. Could you try out the new version 2.6.1 and report back to us if the crashes still occur? Does this only happen when migrating from an earlier version or also on a clean installation? Could you also specify where you downloaded AirGuard from (Github, Google Play Store or F-Droid)?
@palmuse commented on GitHub (Sep 30, 2025):
I have previously downloaded it from F-Droid. I do not currently have it installed, but I will install 2.6.1 from github and test it.

Unfortunately, the app is still crashing. The message is that the app is not responding after some time. I am allowing background activity and all permissions.

Thank you for your feedback. I was able to reproduce what you described on one of our devices and i think i have identified the cause of the issue. As these necessary changes are at the core of our app we will need to perform checks to be sure that they don't cause any other issues, but hopefully this should be fixed in the coming weeks.

Hello again, we have uploaded the new release with the ANR and crash fixes. Github and Google Play Store are available right now, F-Droid will probably take a few days. I will mark this issue as closed now, but if there is any further issues or if this issue should still persist, please contact us again. Thank you for your help.
