I found something: https://www.reddit.com/r/windows/comments/1qc35b0/kb5074109_breaks_azure_virtual_desktop_on_windows/

Since I disabled auto updates, I am now updating to verify whether the issue is related to KB5074109.

OS: Windows 11 Pro, with latest Security update KB5074109

My environment is the same, but I've been able to open RDP sessions without any issues on both v1.2.1 and the latest Nightly build.
I remember seeing the 1Remote crashing once recently, but it hasn't happened again.

  • [Remote Desktop] Fixed: After installing the January 2026 Windows security update (KB5074109), some users experienced sign-in failures during Remote Desktop connections. This issue affected authentication steps for different Remote Desktop applications on Windows such as the Windows App.

Currently, I am unable to get system updates, possibly due to issues with Chinese internet service providers.

Same in Japan. Not available on Windows Update. It looks like it can be installed from the Catalog, but it might be better to wait for Windows Update.

This OOB update does not appear to be applied via automatic updates due to its limited scope of impact.
Therefore, it is necessary to update using the Catalog as needed.
