It's a nice to have.
Describe the solution you'd like
When selecting a custom resolution for RDP connections can you add an option to resize the container window to fit the display? I know there is a separate fit window selection in the display options. However when you select a custom resolution, the widow simply restores its size from the last session regardless of the resolution.
Thanks
@VShawn commented on GitHub (Aug 25, 2025):
sorry for not understanding your needs. Are you looking to have a fixed resolution when starting RDP, but still be able to freely resize the window to adjust the RDP size?
FYI: the RDP control currently cannot switch directly from 'custom resolution' to
dynamic resolution; ONE must disconnect and reconnect to achieve this.@odaniel9 commented on GitHub (Aug 25, 2025):
I'd like the option have the window automatically resized to fit to the size of the remote desktop when using a fixed resolution when I open the session. Currently it opens the session using whatever size the window was left at.
@VShawn commented on GitHub (Aug 26, 2025):
I see,
Custom resolution (fixed)is not possible to achieve your needs, but I can add a fixed startup window size in 'Fit to window' mode to achieve a fixed size at startup.@odaniel9 commented on GitHub (Aug 26, 2025):
That sounds great! Can you also apply this same logic for sessions that are configured to open in a new window? Basically the option fit to window would be applied on startup and for sessions where the "Open In New Window" option is enabled.
@mrbaiwei commented on GitHub (Sep 5, 2025):
Hope to add an option so that when the window size is larger than the custom resolution, the remote image can be scaled up to fit the window size, because some legacy systems do not support scaling, causing the text to appear very small.
@VShawn commented on GitHub (Sep 8, 2025):
@mrbaiwei I tried, but it didn't work out.
